I love making food, and especially when I have the energy to try to make more challenging or different kinds of food. And lately Im obsessed with vietnamese food. I basically always am, but not always as keen to make it myself. Unfortunatly there arent many good places to get authentic vietnamese food around where I live. I only know of one place that i really like, when it comes to both menu and price, Hai Café in Oslo.
So lately I have just tried to make it myself.
I know a good small amount of recipes from my family. So its not always that challenging. So I decided to try to make the things i normally buy premade like sauces and breads and such.
And this time attempted to make real banh mi bread. The french baguette perfected for the vietnamese. I followed this recipe. The result was ok, not bad, but not that good either. It was a nice bread, but not as airy and chewy as the vietnamese ones.
Banh mi xia xiu is one of my all time favorite foods. If you havent had one, i suggest you try one the next time you pass a vietnamese place.
And i also made pho, which is right next to banh mi on the favourite list.

As you may or may not know, I bought a Diva ring light for myself with the money I got for christmas. And I am in LOVE! It is everything I hoped it would be, and more.
I have wanted one for sooo long, so Ive been researching which one to get for about a year, and I first bought an on-camera ring light, which I was not happy with at all. It was way too bright, and the light goes in to the camera which creates a very bright highlight in the photos/video.
But it was one of the cheapest ones on Ebay, so Im not that surprised.
But this time I got a really big one, that needs a stand, is dimmable, and with LED lights. Its so perfect, exactly what I needed. The thing is though, it didn't come with a stand, so I had to buy that separately, and it took a lot longer to get here than the light did, so I was sort of MacGyvering it for a while, balancing it on the cameras tripod and securing it with a string...
But the stand came about 3 weeks later. They both shipped from China, but the light was sent with priority mail which took about 4 days, and the stand was sent as a standard shipping.
This is the one I got. I've heard things about the halogen ring lights getting really really overheated and some even catching fire. So I am really happy that I got the LED one, as it hardly gets warm at all. Which also makes it more comfortable doing my makeup in front of it. If you want to know anything more about it, or my other equipment, tell me so in the comment section.

I love reading about what skincare products other people use to find out what new products I should try. So I wanted to share what I use with you guys, because I think that these products are really really good. And if you haven't tried them, you should. So here are the products Im currently using every day for my skincare routine.
I always start by washing my face/removing my makeup, and for that I use the Ultra Facial Cleanser. Its a soap like formula which doesn't foam very much. I really like this kind of facial cleanser because I feel like it really gets all the dirt, but doesn't dry out my skin. If Im wearing a lot of makeup I will use an oil based makeup remover (or coconut oil) first to remove the worst of it, before using this the cleanser.
Then I use the Ultra Facial Toner. Its alcohol free, and very mild. Its PH-balanced, and hydrating. I use a cotton pad and swipe it over my skin.
Then if its nightime, Ill apply the Midnight Recovery Concentrate to my face and neck. Which is a oil based serum. I really really love this, its so super mosturising, and does really repair your skin overnight. You only need 2-3 drops of it so it lasts you a really long time.
Then to seal all the hydrating power into my skin, I put on a good layer of the Ultra Facial Cream. I love this cream because its really hydrating and light at the same time. Not too greasy at all, so it really feels like it sinks into the skin and not laying like a layer on top of your skin.
P.S. Not sponsored by Khiels, haha, just happened to try them all and loved them all.
P.S.S. My skin is very dry, but oily in the t-sone. So these products might not work for you as they do for me because of the kind of skin you have and what condition it is in.

What products are you loving?

I had a little splurge with the money I got for christmas, and bought a few things for myself from yesstyle.com. I would have bought more, but I usually try to stay inside the free shipping limit.
So I've been watching a lot of youtube videos of people trying these black head remover masks, and I was very interested to try for myself. And looking into those Chinese skincare products, I came over a few other ones as well.
I've been interested in asian skincare for many many years, seeing that they are moving so much faster than everyone else in their technology.
You see the rest of the world copying them all the time. BB/CC creams, cushion compact foundations, lip stains and so many more products, that have been popular in Japan and Korea for a long time, and only recently european and american brands come up with their own versions. Which usually are not even close to being as good as the original products.
So I went over to Yesstyle.com and bought a few of the products that I wanted to try out.
I will be doing a video on the Blackhead Remover Mask and the Carbonated Mask from Elizavecca soon!
Go to my YouTube channel and subscribe if you aren't already to be notified when they are up!
